Welcome Lords & Ladies of All Ages To Ye Royal Village of Albright!
Be transported back to a time of dueling knights, reigning queens, magical fairies and turkey legs! Every fall, just a couple “furlong” north of I-12 in Hammond, the small Village of Albright comes to life! Come experience the depiction of sixteenth century England when Queen Elizabeth I was in charge and music, art and litature took center stage.
Within Albright’s gates, you will find over a hundred merchants – peddling the finest artisan jewelry, hand-crafted gifts and many other period treasures. Some of these fine craftsmen even demonstrate their old-world talents right before your eyes! (The blown glass demonstration is a must-see.) There are also beer tastings, wine tastings and even a Birds of Prey demonstration!
Your day would not be complete without food fit for a king. Whether it’s a delicious turkey leg, steak on a stake or jester chips, there is something for everyone! Plan to come early and spend the entire day among lords and ladies of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival! Come as you are or come dressed in period-perfect apparel!
DID YOU KNOW? During each day of the festival there are more than 50 live shows and demonstrations to attend! Don’t miss the LIVE JOUSTING!
